Bonnievale Organic Farm is found high in the rolling hills of West Ontago where the naturally disease-resistent sheep enjoy lush, green grasses, fresh mountain air and live with minimal intervention and stress. The sheep are raised in a healthier, more sustainable environment. The fine strand wool fibres are loosely spun into a double knit bulky yarn and woven by a crochet machine into a blanket of rectangular woollen cells to maximise air pockets. The fabric material is then brushed to give the fibres softness and mass. This creates a light weight and highly effective thermal insulation cover, both in cold and hot climates. Our wool retrains its natural strength because no bleaching agents or chemicals are used.
